Yes. This is an authentic screenshot from a United States Government website about the shutdown. This rhetoric is not only untrue but unconstitutional.
So, here we are. Democracy lovers have been immobilized by adjusting to the new normal: authoritarianism in the United States. Bits and pieces have been felt throughout our history, but never the full-blown version. V1 for the United States. Yay us/US! So, since we’re newbies, we’re not sure how to pull off a nationwide strike, like what happens in other countries which have gone through this before. Although perhaps this current Government shutdown because no government bill or a stop gap bill was passed in Congress to fund the U.S. government is a way to strike as it will shut down the government. Dunno. Just spit balling.
I must say the citizens did a great job last month when the Government attacked our free speech First Amendment rights by suspending Jimmy Kimmel (just do an internet search on him, Disney, ABC, FCC, etc.) We spoke with our capitalism dollars and cancelled subscriptions to Hulu/Disney+/ESPN and it worked. Also, people of all political beliefs realized we don’t want to lose democracy: we want to say what we want to say FREELY under the Constitution’s First Amendment rights.
Maybe this is a wake-up call that this is a battle of democracy vs authoritarianism – and not Democrats vs Republicans. Doubt it. Because the regime wants to split the citizens, the people, apart via partisan lines. It’s a proven method: divide and conquer. Yep, that old authoritarian trope. Let’s not fall for it. Let’s wake up!
And we can’t give up hope. Do not give up hope. We need to fight for better or worse. Be like Jerr. “Be present because the future can only be changed by the present.” Who said that? Don’t know doesn’t matter.
Just. Be. Present.

Well, we finally have the website up. People can read or download Jerr’s Journal from 2035 for free. And we sure hope they do.
Again, why the journal came to us is a mystery, but it’s come at an apt time as our healthcare is under siege and other social services too. Plus, the hostage taking of undocumented people by masked men purporting to be ICE and we don’t know if FEMA will still have money or monies be distributed, all with hurricane season breathing down our necks etc., etc. So Jerr’s journal comes as a warning for us to do an about-face in the U.S. because any of us could become stateless, our citizenship stripped and documents taken away. Some of us are already experiencing this.
And and and so so so much more…
I hope people take heed of Jerr’s life and that we can change the path we’re on before we reach 2035. Let’s make it our path, not his.

A lot of us question whether the masked and unidentified “Ice Agents” are actually sworn in agents as they snatch and grab people whenever and wherever they can.
This link is in regards to the Supreme Court ruling making it easier to remove Birthright Citizenship from the United States Constitution, which could render some newborns stateless, with no country to go to and live in.

I moan and keen as I sleep
If my anxiety was an orbit
